I am ashamed to admit that I like both gossipy friends and gossipy social networking sites. Woe is me.

Facebook is like gift-wrapping and hand-delivering pictures and text which your enemies can use against you in 10 years.

I disagree. It may be that way for you, but it’s an extremely useful communication tool. I am notified for school things thru facebook….it can be very useful!

I actually despise facebook. I’m loathe to admit I do have an account and I occasionally use it when I am bored, but I generally only go on when someone sends me a message via it. It’s so overcrowded and pointless.

It can’t just be me, but I could swear its not a metaphor its a similie (or similar sounding word spelt properly). We all must have learnt this very early on in high schooll

Am I the only one that doesn’t “get” facebook? Whats with all the growing shit and likeness quizzes? I find it very user UNfriendly and only go there b\c I have friends from high school and elementary that use it and they are not on myspace.

And just like gossipy friends, services like Facebook aren’t going away. Don’t forget: all we really want is to feel important. Facebook will remain dominant until something else comes along that lets us all feel even more important.

Of course, if the internet vanishes, we can all keep feeling important by gossiping.
